Am a n00b, need some help...

So I just started playing PotC with the build 14 Beta 1 patch 4, which by the way is amazing.

Everything seems to be in working order, but I have a question about controls as far as sailing goes...

Again I just started, and I went out to sea on my ship, was able to set/strike sails without issue, but I can't for the life of me seem to actually SAIL. The sails are set, and I just sit there. I figured maybe I was anchored, but after pressing numerous keys on the keyboard randomly, and checking the control list, I can't see any command for anchor....

I see that there is in fact wind, but again I am not moving. Am I doing something wrong here?

Is the wind strong? What direction is it coming from? If you're on Realistic Game Mode (Build default),
with the wind from ahead, you'll move backwards. You can switch to Arcade Game Mode in the Options menu.
Then start a new game and see if you can get the ship to move then.

Indeed there's no "anchor" command at sea; the only anchoring you can do reloads you straight to shore (via ship deck).

Do you hear a lot of flapping noises? That is one clue that you are heading into the wind and going nowhere. Look at your pennants and flags. Which way are they blowing? Getting in and out of harbors can take a while because there isn't much wind and some tacking is required. Even in arcade mode you might be hardly moving until you start tacking.
