Anyway to time increase?

Just got the game. So far lots of "almost noob" fun for me. I had played original game `way-back`-when. It seems similar from what I remember.

One thing I used to hate was sailing from west to east. It took forever and tacking helped only slightly. I use to set course, go out to dinner in my Monte Carlo, come home and listen to an LP, then watch a movie on laser disk, and hoped my ship was in Barbados by the time I sat down back at my Commodore 128!

I see in the new game it is just as fun in this respect as 15 years ago!! Can anyone else say, "Zzzzzzzzzz"? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />

It would have been great to have a time increase option (2x, 5x 10x ect.) in this new version, but I guess not.

Are there any mods available for time warp?

I don't ususally like cheats but a speed increase would be great!

No mods available yet fer time speed,ye probly already know ye can get cotton sails te increase yer ship speed,get copper plate'n fer turn'n faster,click on navigator fer yer skill, all these help <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I never had any difficulties with the game going too slow. On the opposite, sometimes I rather wished for a slowdown function.

Those are no problem, at least as long I´m young and healthy <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
But sometimes I´m sailing way too fast, more than once a nice payment transporter or treasure galleon slipped through my fingers because I couldn´t see them, respectively read the description quick enough.
