Blue screen and pc forzen

Hi, i have a problem with pirates!.
When the game load a new scenario, but not always, just sometimes, my screen becomes blu without any words or somethings else... and the pc is frozen, the only way is to reset and reboot...
i have all my graphics setting at minimum, i have put a fun on my graphics card but this crsch is still here...
So , i don't know what it coul be.
Help me please.

sorry... a distraction..
- OS: win 2k sp4
- CPU: AMD athlon XP 1900+
- Memory: 1024 ram ddr 400
- video board: Ati radeon 9600 pro 256 drr sapphire catalyst 5.1 (i tried also catalyst 3.1 but had the same problem)
- DX: 9.0c
