OK, the company is called B.T. Smith & Co., out of Viroqua, WI.
They don't appear to be online, so here's the highlights from the brochure.
---------------------
They make a 1730 Blunderbuss rifle. I didn't have the opportunity to handle one, but they looked incredibly substantial. The design is based on those of the Ottoman Empire, and can be made simple or ornate. The simple looks like something your average (but very strong) pirate would lug around, while the ornate was covered with patterns of what appeared to be Mother of Pearl.
They offer several packages:
- A kit that requires lots of assemby. Recommended only for experienced rifle builders. $795
- An assembled, but unfinished gun - needs sanding, polishing, etc. $1475
- A finished, basic gun. The brochure specifically says "ready for use." $1730
- A finished, fancy gun with inlays and light engraving. $2800
- A finished, fancy gun with inlays, and heavier, more detailed engraving. $3975
That's about it, although the brochure mentions that they hope to make blunderbuss pistols in the near future.
