Does anyone know about a pirate game called <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/buccaneer/" target="_blank">"Buccaneer"</a>? I used to have that game and found it quite fun. Only it was extremely buggy (every time I fired my guns, the game would quite to desktop). It was quite similar to PotC, only PotC is <i>faaaaaaaaar</i> better.
If anyone still has the game (I don't have it anymore), could you send me the music files (if possible). I recall I quite liked the music. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

As luck would have it, I have a copy of Buccaneer stashed away in my toybox! I saw your post and dug it out and the strangest thing happened, the dang game actually worked! I was having a problem similar to yours in that when I reloaded the game, it would crash whenever I fired the cannons, but this time it worked with no problems! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I always liked how on this game you aimed the cannons from a cannon port view, and could raise or lower the guns as you saw fit, but you're right; the game is no POTC. It would be neat if we could steal the aiming feature from this game, however, and add it to POTC.

I have found the file, MusicCdTracks.dat, and I will email it to you. I was attempting to convert it, but I was unsuccessful. If you know how to do this let me know. I was always fond of the song that played in the tavern, but I can't recall any others that especially struck my fancy. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
