Build 11 sux.. hope build 12 is better

I just installed build 11 and man... i hope build 12 is better...

in build 11 cannon accuracy blows... big time, I shoot at 50 yards broadside and I miss? The rule is... the ship you are trying to board will always be faster and more agile. ships turn 90 degrees in 20 miles. the ship you just captured will ram you and sink. the ship you just captured will head straight for enemy and sink. the ship you just captured will sit there still until sunk.

on map veiw, if you see a battle at sea and drop out of warp, computer will freeze. you see a ship and engage, it aint there, if it is its in a storm.

I never use cannons.. waste of time.. just board.. at least you have a chance to actually do something with land combat.

1. Cannon accuracy - you need more points on Accuracy and this will improve. I suggest that you actually aim the cannons as well as your accuracy improves if you are doing the aiming.

2. Other ships faster and more agile - you need more points in Sailing and this should help get you faster and more agile. You can also change a couple of settings in BuildSettings.h to change this to suit you.

3. Ships turn 90 degrees in 20 miles - again these changes in BuildSettings.h will improve this as it was set to be more realistic by default.

4. Captured ship rams you - bad piloting, Just before I actually board I swing my ship away from the other ship and then board. I suggest that you try to board whilst coming up from behind as again this is more realistic then cutting across the front of a ship and boarding.

5. Captured ship heading towards enemy - When I capture a ship I always give it orders to sail away so it shouldn't be attacked. If you don't do this then they will try to attack the remaining enemy ships.

6. Captured ship sitting there and being sunk - see above.

7. Coming out of map view and freezing - a possible computer problem? We'll need more details for us to help you.

8. No ships when coming out of map view - did you wait until you see an icon appear on map view that either shows two ship battling of a single ship sailing? If not then you actually came out of map view too soon and so the ship won't be there.

AFAIK no one else has had these problems so if you really thing that they are can you be more specific so we can see if we can replicate them
 
I agree with you Sirruw. With the exception of the occasional CDT going in and out of the sailing view or combat. I think all of these issues can be addreesed by improving skills and abilites and imporving play.

On the CDTs I recomend saving every time you leave port. That way you don't loose much.
 
When you installed the build, did you start new characters and game?
I noticed that when I got to upper levels in retail version the cannons where like a machine gun... I'm gaining levels now in build 11 and am starting to see how much better it is...
