Build 13 Sounds; Copyrighted?

Heya; I have posted this here of all places cos it seemd the most relative.

Im making a piece of music and was wondering if there is copyright of any kind on the sounds used in Build 13, and possible earlier mods. what I wish to use is a couple of the sound efx such as the anchor and a few of the voices; it isn't an official mix, only a 'play' one but will most likely be posted on utoob ansd so saw it fit to ask here if, indeed, I need to ask someone. Of course, I wouldn't plagerize; though i'd make most of the other samples I'd still credit the game or its rightful creator. Im asking mainly because im not sure what is and what isnt; for instance, the boarding 'carnage' sound is from the film Braveheart. So, does anyone know? As I say, strictly informal mix; hell, I may end up chucking it cos it ends up going no-where but if made I think may turn out quite nice.

Heck, I´d say use all you can!
We are using all we can from everybody else <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
There is actually a bunch of stuff from official movies, gametrailers, ships from other games, whole packs with music from other games for download. Not complete pieces, of course, and we modified the ships in order to use it with the PotC engine, but I am sure you get me´ meaning <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I don't even know where most of it came from.
I'd say you can just use it and give credit if you like.

OK thanks; its not many, only a few to et the scene. Its meant to be about the Royal Navy from discovering america to fighting america, but so far its not going too well; I just cant seem to get a beat up, only a buncha spheres (bed layers) so it may be some time...
