buildings be gone?

is there a way to remove the new structures and that added in Post build mod? because i preferr the stock PoTC towns
 
actually, what i probally want to really know is, is the older version of post build avaible still somewhere? because to be honest i dont quite like the new island group, i preferr the good old Archipelago. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
ok ignore that last one, i got a little bit further into the latest version of post build and was totally blow away, the moment i boarded an enemy ships was just WOW, but that deck did look very similar to what ive seen from AoP

There is an old version available from <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=6914" target="_blank">this</a> thread, if you still want it. It's an old November version, but some additional bugfixes made since then are available. However, this version doesn't work entirely right yet either. I left some bugs in, which I still need to fix when I have time... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

In the next modpack update, I will make it so that the new structures in Oxbay harbour will be deleted after the first time you left Oxbay port. I'll also re-add the toggle on the enlarged Oxbay location, so you can turn it off if you like. I personally wouldn't do that though; you'd lose the Greenford Maltese Knight Abbey! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
 
I concede that it was a vain mistake to force those showcase buildings in Oxbay port on players, and I agree with any removal of THOSE.

But what can be wrong with ADDITIONAL locations? You aren't forced to go there if you don't like them, are you?

It was a darned hell lot of hard labor to add the new locations that everybody was crying for, and IMHO we have better things to do than adding tweaks for them <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

well m8, i was a bit colored with what i first saw, but once i got past that i really did start to enjoy sailing over greater distances <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I like the new buildings an love the new island locations. BTW I was in Oxbay in the main quest, saw a small cabin in the port that I hadn't ssen before. There was a guy out front looking like a blacksmith so I talked to him and got a cut dialogue about Donald Dump and devolpoers plus a suggestion on how to add dialougue of my own. Then the cabin blew up along with several other new buildings and killed some poeple but not me or my officers.

I loved this little encounter, but what is it really about. If the point is to get me to want to try the use the build set it worked becasue I am looking to build my own village.
 
When the cabin and other buildings blow up, the other people aren't supposed to die too. I "fixed" this in the latest update by changing that dialogue a bit and removing the explosion. Now, when you return to Oxbay again, the new buildings will be gone.

The new buildings in Oxbay harbour are indeed meant as showcase for the Building Set and to get you to try it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
