Can't figure it out.

I'm new to the game and am using the smuggler mod (I wanted to change from tactical to dynamic without having to start over). How do I leave port?

This is the easiest question ever. Why hasn't anybody replied? I just wanna know how to get out of port and into my ship so I can sail around and actually play the game.
