Can't get patch to work!

After watching the Hornblower miniseries, I decided to play his storyline and when I landed in Kingston, the game crashed. I downloaded the patch at least 3 times and in exported into the default file. When I start a new game, same thing happens! Also, how can i tell if the patch installed correctly?

Check the folder --- RESOURCE \ MODELS \ ships \ HMS_Indefatigable

If the files in this folder are named HMS_Endeavour

Then you have not run the Rename.bat program which is in the Pirates of the Caribbean folder. -- Run this --- then check that the files in the folder have been renamed HMS_Indefatigable.
OR
You can manually rename the files.

This should stop the Hornblower quest crashing the Game at Kingston.

Yes - check the files in the folder have been renamed correctly then you should be ok.

I opened the HMS Indy files with rename.bat, but the name still isn't changing! It says the file cannot be specified.

After running rename.bat

All you should have to do is go and look at the file names with Windows Explorer ( not Internet Explorer )

And check that the files have been renamed to the same name as the folder they are in.

Extract the patch to your POTC directory...

Run the rename.bat!
- Goto RESOURCE/MODELS/SHIPS/HMS_Indefatigable/

and see if the files in there are named HMS_Endeavour or HMS_Indefatigable

Are you sure you ran rename.bat then?

If its not working change all the Endeavours to Indefatigable in that folder
