Controlling your Companions at Sea

Been trying to build my fleet, but its just to dangerous to let your companions have ships, they spend all there time in front of your guns so you can't shoot and being boarded.

Anyone have any helpful tips on controlling your companions at sea?

Hi,

Which game?.....BTW...this is the wrong section to post this, try PoTC build or AoP-CT or CoAS, then it will get a proper reply
Companions AI in any of the games is a bit unpredictable.

Thanks for the response, ya i found the info i needed a couple hours ago. Guess it'd help if i had the manual for Age of Pirates II...
