that was really a point in the game towasnt it, id almost be a little dissapointed if it didnt, how many got it wrong on purpose just to play an unlucky life?

it was kindof annoying after a while and I lost the book....but yeah it was fun getting it wrong!

be playing the game and then suddenly you hear 'argh' and your like <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />
then you cant find it or click the wrong one.....sooo much fun!

what pissed me off was that as i was a l33t fencer i stillcouldnt beat that guy when you got the flag wrong, i had him at 0 men and i got killed while i was blocking

of course! you got his flag wrong...after he put all that time and thought into picking it and making it how he wanted!

speaking of homage to the original it would be great to have the old 'argh' and 'sail ho' sounds in the game if not it would be an awesome mod for somone make.

If I remember that was Pirates Gold. The original Pirates had a two question sequence. You first had to answer what month the Silver Train or the Treasure Fleet would arrive in a certain port, and then you had to answer if it was early or late in the month.

I never played the original just Pirates gold but either of those would be great to have in there more for laughs than anything....pluss it would show whos old and whos new to the game......

(and for those of you that wonder.....as Im sure none of you do I actually found the instruction book that has the pirate flags and names in it lol)

I think it would be neat if they asked the Treasure Fleet or Silver Train questions like the original, just kinda out of the blue in the game as part of some other content, and if you had the old book laying around, you could get it right for a bonus or something. I still have my book and the original map hangin' on the wall here, just waitin' fer November!

Im a pirates gold lover.. and i would love to see something like this put into the game.. at least for a possible bonus mission or something if you get the question right.
