Easier?

Is it just me, or is the game easier than the originals were? (At least on the apprentice level).. I can't remember ever being able to rescue more than a couple of family members in the original before retirement called..

Now, on the first try, I finished with 101 fame points (apparently not much, looking at the high scores posted on this forum), after beating all the pirates and the villain, saving all family members, finding all treasure, two lost cities..

Yeah, I'll have to try some harder difficulty level. In any case, it feels like I've seen most (if not all) of the game on one sitting.. =(

Sounds like you had fun with the game! Never fear, next time you start, it will be different enough to have it seem like a whole new game.

If you stayed your entire game on apprentice, you definitely should consider upping the difficulty... I think the best thing to do is start high (when you are young and have good reaction time) and as the years catch up to you, you can lower your difficulty level when you divide the plunder (divide when you have little gold to get this option)...
