Q1: how can i select the Black Pearl as my starting ship?
A1: first, open the InternalSettings.h file, which you can find in the PROGRAM directory, which is in the main PotC directory. then, change one of the ship's in the list to "theBlackPearl" and start a new game. it is of course not nesseary to delete any of your previous games in this case.
Q2: Why are they unrealistic names for some of the islands? Why don't you add Jamaica and Port Royal?
A2: The unrealistic names came from the original game. We intend to rename all islands to realistic ones for Build 14. here's a list of the changes that will be made:
Falaise de Fleur > Martinique
Port Royal > Jamaica
Isla Muelle > Puerto Rico
Oxbay > Barbados
Conceicao > Granada
Douwesen > Curacao
Quebradas Costillas > Nevis
Khael Roa > Cozumel
Q3: my reputation is horrible. how can i change wat people think about me?
A3: firstly, you probably didn't know what caused this. Your reputation goes down when:
You failed to pay off a loan from the loan shark "on time".
You failed to deliver cargo "on time".
You hit or killed civilians or merchants.
Your landing party and/or officers hurt or killed a civilian. Note, this can happen even at a distance if your officers use guns.
you fired on a friendly or neutral ship.
you basically did the evil thing in a certain situation.
to fix this, do the obvious thing: good deeds. talking to people and helping them, rescuing shipwreck survivors, finishing quests you still have going which give you a reputation bonus, etc.
Q4: what's with all these crappy looking trees in the jungles and the wierd houses that i can walk through?
A4: this is something that was added by couch captain charles. it was made so that anyone could add anything to any location, to basically flourish it up a bit. if you can do a better job at it or think you can, feel free to try and present your work to the community. chances are that it will actually be put in. if you really are annoyed by the trees, just turn them off in BuildSettings.h. oh: try killing the guy standing in one of the houses and be prepared for a surprise. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Q5: Would it be possible to design your own customizable flag, which flies on it's own (freelancer) or alongside nation flag?
A5: You can raise your own personal flag ingame and you can change it yourself by modifying RESOURCE\Textures\flagall.tga.tx. however, you can only fly one flag at a time. either your personal flag, or a nation's flag.
Q6: how can i get bombs?
A6: Bombs are turned off with the Realistic Cannons mod. You can still steal some by visiting the armory in some of the land-based fort, such as the ones in Port-au-Prince and Greenford.
