Help for a non programmer

Okay i have installed the pieter mod pack and there are some aspects which i love about it and some aspects which i hate

for example i love the captains challenge mod which i want to keep in my game

but i want to keep bombs.

Could somone tell me how to modify the mod to suit my own preferences, below is a list of things i would want to keep in my game and things i would want to get rid of

Keep

Captains challenge mod
New items+swords
New ships
New Quests(If any)

Lose

Expanded oxbay and redmond(it is riddled with bugs)

EDIT: can someone also tell me how to uninstall the pieters modpack

THANKS
Removal of bombs

You can't really uninstall the modpack. The only way to "uninstall" it is to install PotC again, but without the modpack.

I think you can re-enable bombs by setting the realistic cannon mod off in BuildSettings.h, but I'm not sure if that's what you want.

Removing the expanded Oxbay and Greenford would be quite complicated. But since that mod is not really finished yet, removing it might not even be such a bad idea.
Question to everyone reading this: Should the expanded Oxbay be in the modpack as-is, or should we wait until it's fully finished? Or maybe we could keep some of the new locations, but disable to rest. Or could a BuildSettings.h toggle be realised for it?
(BTW: Is Redmond also expanded? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> )

I assume yepi meant Greenford suburb, which looks like Redmond (Too bad that all the old PotC hands are so familiar with the locationmodels <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> )

Well, the easiest way to deal with locations you don't like might be just to ingnore them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> After all, they don't do any harm if you just go through the "suburbs" and don't enter any forts or abbeys, do they?

Otherwise you could try to replace the modded file "locations\init\Oxbay.c" with the original file. That should remove all Greater Oxbay locs.

Just in case you didn't know: In the most recent modpack version, you can now turn off the Oxbay and Greenford suburbs in BuildSettings.h: Set GREATER_OXBAY to 0. You will need to start a new game for the changge to take effect. Hope this helps you. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
