How can I edit a Ship stats?

Hello,
could someone know how to edit ship stats?
I changed this in ship_init file but nothing change...

EDIT:
Ok it works after changing data in ,,ship_init"
For a first time dosen't work, and this is the reason why I post question.

If you make any changes, you need to either start a new game or load a savegame and perform a reinit (press F11).
