Is there anywhere I can find out more about how the career works?

Hey,
As above, just started a game using the Supermod and it's bringing back some great memories
I'm doing some missions using the letter of marque, and I was wondering if there's somewhere I could find out about being promoted etc (if it even happens)

Turns out I just needed to wait a bit longer, 15 missions for the first promotion, I guess I'll just wait and see if there are any more.

It's in the code somewhere, but those who would know are not around. I suspect there are a lot of promotions.
