Looks like we have a new promising Pirate game on the horizon, aimed to be released this very year:
King of Seas on Steam
And no multiplayer, just one big SP-mode.
As far as I see, with the story and customization, that this seems to be a consequental evolution of Tempest. Unless the developer screws the gameplay royally up, I can't believe that this could fail.
