Hi, I am playing the main stock game with latest mod, how do I level up Leadership? At the moment its at 74% and 1-1, is there a cheat? as I want to be able to command a squadron <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />.

There are a few skill items you can get to increase leadership, and there should be books that do it as well. Your best bet is to find an officer with high leadership so you can use his leadership skill.

The easiest way to gain leadership is to talk to people on the street. You should get a point or two every time you talk to someone. Some quests grant leadership, but it's not that much and takes a long time.

Look in InternalSettings.h for the following line:

#define FLEETCOMMAND_MIN_LEVEL 5 // INT 1-10 - min. level of leadership at which character can command more than a single ship

Change it to lower as you wish. This isn't a cheat, just a game setting. Mine is pretty much turned off.

Look in game options, advanced options, for Restricted Ship Class and Shipyard Realism. Turn these off as well. This may turn off the above minimum level for fleets without changing it in the InternalSettings.h file

These should give you access to sail anything you wish. This is how I play my game, and I like realism. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Realistic Ship Purchase has nothing to do with leadership; it just prevents you from buying navy ships unless you're in the navy.
