<blockquote>Based on three classic LEGO play -- LEGO Castle, LEGO Pirates and LEGO Space -- LEGO Battles creates a unique extension of the LEGO build-and-play experience that stays true to the customization and humor that are the foundation of LEGO videogames. LEGO Battles offers a new kind of "build and battle" LEGO gameplay. Through six distinct story lines, players build their own LEGO bases and battle teams as they engage in over 70 different levels, mixing and matching units to create the ultimate customized LEGO squad. These unique LEGO battles teams see pirate swordsmen fighting side-by-side with wizards and aliens; dragons battling ninjas; and pirate ships launching broadsides against spacecraft and knights! Players can also challenge friends on the battlefield in multiplayer mode through wireless DS multi-card play.

I really like LEGO, but this doesn't look too great. Of course it's for the Nintendo DS, which is lame in the first place.
Consoles are stupid enough, handhelds are just sad... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Yeah. Ever heard of a console-game being modded? Gaming without modding, tsk tsk <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

LEGO are experiencing hard times, and have been for almost 5 years. Today, computers and mobile phones are filling up kid's lives and they dont play anymore like they used to. Also, they grow up faster and stop playing 2-3 years earlier today, compared to just 15-20 years ago. As robotic and engineering programs never became the success as planned for LEGO, they are trying to join the computergames market with various success. 10 years ago, more than 8.000 people were employed at the lego-factories here, now almost every aspect of production have been transfered to other countries due to their low-cost facilities and wages. Expect LEGO to go down soon <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Trivia: The letters in LEGO comes from the two first letters in the danish words, "leg godt" (play well).

LEGO going down? I sure hope not. As far as I'm aware, it's still one of the most popular toys. And it ruddy well should be.
I don't mind LEGO computer games; in fact I had BRILLIANT fun with the original LEGO Racers and LEGO Rock Raiders.
Awesome games, those two. Just plain fun. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

OK, I did' nt mean they are actually closing, the family behind LEGO already sold it years ago. But the new owners will probably move everything to China in a few years from europe. The quality will fall but LEGO is also really expensive.

I love the hell out of LEGO's too, I mean Lincoln Logs and Erector sets were kinda cool, but there was always something special about LEGO's. LEGO Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones were fun too, although just a bit to simple. I agree, the DS is not even close to being a legit gaming platform, but it's LEGO ...and it's Pirates! When I first heard about this game a few months ago, I was really hoping it would be a full blown PC game. I think there is a lot of potential there. LEGO pirates are all over youtube, they even have their own forum!

No.. crappy quality. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />

Doesn't HAVE to be. But I like LEGO as it was.
At some point I stopped buying LEGO; not because I was fed-up with it, but because the sets were just getting sad.
Then LEGO Indiana Jones came around and I started some collecting again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

The only whole set I've got is the Arctic series they brought out a while back - I spent well over two years hunting for the last part of the series, this little dude on a snowmobile who came with a bunch of extra parts. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
