Maybe a stupid question, but.....

Were Manowar's really THIS much bigger than everything else? I was floating about with mine blasting everything in sight to really small pieces, when it (rather suddenly) occurred to me that the puny, pathetic sized ship I had parked next to and was turning into splinters was...a....BATTLESHIP.

Now..forgive me if Im wrong, as Im nowhere near an expert on the ships of those times, but...they werent really <u>that</u> much bigger, were they????

If not, are there any solid replacements out there? I didnt see really many ships at all in the downloads section, so if someone could point me in the right direction, Id appreciate it...

If Im wrong, and these things really were this much bigger, then I apologise. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

EDIT: Im using the latest Build version, btw. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

`Man-O`-Wars were really that big they were built for war so they had to be big to take repeated broadsides AND give the enemy massive, more powerful broadsides

Hm...Okay then...It just seemed like it was a bit out of proportion to everything else.

Thanks for the quick response! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

My recollection is that a number of people have commented on this, and all who checked found that it's another thing POTC got (gloriously) wrong. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
For example.
