I was trying to track down a bug with merchant quests... and I dicsovered something odd. This existed in the STOCK game as well, so I don't know if it was a total oversight, or intentional. Thought I would bring it up for discussion before I 'fix' it.
When you talk with a store merchant on ANY island, and ask if he may be in need of a captain. It checks if you are an "ENEMY" of nation "ENGLAND"... if you are, the merchant says:
"No, I do not need your services. At least as long as you are sinking French ships."
Now... ALL merchants say and do this exact thing (copy paste obviously). My question is... shouldnt each store merchant on each island be checking their OWN nation to see if you are an "ENEMY", and then state which type of ships you should stop sinking before he will offer a job to you to deliver goods?
Or am I missing something. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
Anyhow, DISCUSS!
