Hello PiratesAhoy,
I am planning to upload some script files to NexusMods and share it here so people who still enjoy this Game can have fun with my mod..
I want to make some minor edits to enhance the games experience.
I am German so my mod will be only available for german language (also because it is not possible for me to create it in another language)
If you are experienced in the code files of the original game you are kindly allowed to share your information here with me.
So if you know some small edits that could fix some broken areas of the game, I am happy if you can inform me.
for Example:
only until 24 pound cannons are available at shipyards. I want to upgrate that. at least to 70 pound cannons should be buyable.
the endgame swords wont ever show up in merchants inventory.
Malcolm Thatcher is a missed story chance, I will change his name and model to Ralph maybe and rewrite the start dialogue here since I think it isnt as clear in the beginning that Danielle had been also at Oxbay at that time - and also was able to flee from the french.
Also many game mechanics are never showcased or told to the player.
For example how to use and why to use spyglasses.
So I want to enchance the Tutorial Dialogue and give that info.
explain in Dialogue for what munition types are used.
How the officer system affects the skills in your ships... I recently discovered this myself in late Game only.
And how certain Luggage like Rum or Planks affect something. (crew is happy when Rum is on board for example)
(ship is repaired on see)
Do you know of anything other like this type of thing?
also this thread is an inspiration as it discusses a lot of the games unfinished content / side quests and how to fix them, also some Dialogues are hinting at some backstory that wasnt even in the game.
