Ok. I know that people have been creating new ships by combining sails around and stuff and even modifying some of the 3d models to add stuff. I have some ideas about some things and want to know how in step-by-step fashion to create a new ship using the hull of another ship and adding new rigging to it.

Also how do you use the locators stuff. And if I wanted to create a new place like what was done for the blacksmith shop, how would I do that? I think this all has to do with the utility "tool", but I don't know how to use it. I guess the main thing I'm asking is how do I use tool? I want to be able to add a new location or whatever you call it similar to whatever was done to add the blacksmith mod.

As far as the coding, I would mainly like to add a new location in the ship in addition to the ones that you have in build14alpha6 (deck, hold, cabin, and crew quarters), so what portions of the code would I need to modify? I think I could probably be able to figure out the coding itself (I have somewhat of a programming background), but I need to know <i>what</i> code to modify.

Hopefully this is not too much to ask. Maybe with some help with this and later a couple of other things, I might be able to make a descent contribution to the build mod. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
 
if you want to make new ship locations, you'll have to use a different location as a base and reskin it. we can't make an entirely new location at the moment, as we can't make collision boxes. the new ship locations are taken from AOP.
