Morgan's pearls weigh too much!

So, I looted the pearls from the divers and stored them in the ship's chest, because they weighed as much as a fat elephant. The problem is that now I can't get all the pears to Morgan. It seems that if I don't have all the pearls on me, he goes nuts and attacks me. All the pearls together weighs many times over my carrying limit. Any way to overload the character or otherwise solve the issue with cry baby Morgan, or am I forced to reload a way old game save and be annoyed at yet another stupid detail in the game?

i think your are skrewd you have to go see right after you collect them, no reason to be in rush huh? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o) load an earlier save and redo, unlike some of these collect a bunch of stuff quests you have to give them to him all in one go.
