Muskets?

I chose Captian Blood as my charcter and I noticed there is muskets you can take from dead men. It will not let me use these muskets. Are they useabal with out mods?

No, they're unusable and completely pointless. The only one in your crew who can use them is the musketeer officer (whom you can find in his house in Port of Spain), but he only joins on the condition that you return his double barrelled musket, which is superior to the regualar ones anyway, so there's no reason to use those.

One of the Russian mods had unlocked a slot so you can use muskets. I don't think there's an english version of that mod or an english mod that unlocks the musket slot....

The truth is from Tenotchitlan quest you get a gun which is something like 4 muskets in one - and it can make 4 shots in succession. This makes equipping muskets absolutly pointless.

I'm playing as Jerremy Pitt and in my game i came across the officer who lost his musket, he say's the ship he was on was attacked by pirates but he was tied up and couldn't do anything and his musket was stole, after you find the musket he say's he will join my crew but he wants 35,000 piasters upfront to pay his debts off, yeah right get a job you checky begger, i will not be spending that kind of money be it a one time payment or not on any officers, no matter who they are.
