Networking is getting along finally! The hosting and connection code is in place and we have begun getting the environmental objects synced up (time, weather, wind, seas) and finally have our first ship test in engine with the server authoritative model working flawless!

Server is on the right, client is on the left. The number in the top right is a frame syncing object to make sure the visual indicators match between the two computers.

Never thought my PotC worldmap ship model would ever make it into a networked Unity game! :rofl
 
@Pieter Boelen or that it would look that good, right? Sadly this may be the last it is seen in LoM though since the new ship that @Flannery made is getting closer to being ready for usage.
 
3 clients and the server all in the scene together. Controls are working for rudder, sail settings, and gun elevation right now. All physics, wind, buoyancy are working as well. Time to wire in some of the guns and particles and we may have a game!

The next baby step is taken. Particles for cannons are now synced and next up the cannonballs themselves will be flying!

2v2. You can see the new hull coloring in place for factions. Eventually ships will be customizable for colors and ornaments based on player choice. For now they will color based on the faction.

Yeah, it was dusk and it was after about an hour of beating the crap out of each other, lol. Should have the flags on them soon to help on ID as well as some sail decoration or something a bit more prominent.
