Alright, well, I didn't see any new updates for East India Company. They've got a few new screenshots up.
Looks like ships will have a build-time. The shipwright won't be magically pulling ships out of his pocket when you flip through the catalog and pick out the one you want, sorry. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

The world-map looks like it could use some polishing. It also doesn't look like you can go ashore and walk through towns. Looks like navigating while ashore will be done via a menu.
This looks to be more of a high seas/economy/diplomacy based game, and not so much an RPG. —that could be a good thing, given most RPGs released recently don't include story-lines anyway.
