Officer slots

leongt

Master Mariner
I still have the Boson, Doctor and Treasurer slots to fill on my ship but very time a ask an officer it comes up as saying my crew is full, Dose it have anything to do with the class of ship you own as mine is a class 4 ship.

It has to do with your stats, specifically Authority. If you have stat penalties (such as because you're commanding a bigger ship than your navigator can handle or because your health deteriorated) the number of officers you can hire will be reduced appropriately. I don't think any will leave you, but you won't be able to hire more until your stats are restored.

I don't have any stats penalties and my leadership skill is at 54%-17 plus I added one of those little statues to boost it up another 10% But if I remove my navigator my stats are at -1

base is authority that determines how many npcs ( not crew) you can command - officers+officers passangers + companions - so maybe you have to many companions.
Captives do not count.
Companions left with ships at port control , to wait indefinently , those count too.
Multitasking perk on officers might help if you reached the limit.

I did leave my original navigator with the frigate at port control after finishing the peter blood quest so that could be it also I was abel to get one of my officers too do two jobs.

On a side note how do you sell slaves because I captured a ship with slaves on it but cannot find a place too sell them?

The trader on Bermuda will buy them (and possibly in other pirate settlements, though I don't know for sure off the top of my head). Otherwise you can talk to a smuggler in the tavern and arrange a meeting, but that decreases your reputation and carries the risk of an ambush, either by the local law enforcement or the smugglers themselves.

slaves mostly smugglers bussiness . but that decreases hones reputation.throwing them overbord doesn't <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />.
they consume food so throwing is an option.

All the slaves thingie is not well builded IMHO.... as the descriptions ingame says, slaves were the main workforce on the caribbean... Slavery emerged as a system of forced labor while the vast majority of slaves consisted of Africans and their descendants, but also you could find Native American slaves and European indentured servants. We all know that Slavery is inhuman and can never be justified, but it was used on the vast majority of the caribbean colonies, and looking to the actual USA, most of the Founding Fathers were large-scale slaveholders, as were eight of the first 12 presidents of the United States... Do the slave-market should not be as closed as black-market only, maybe some colonies (related to factions?) should be legal this slave-market... at least this is what I think looking through history.

I think there are colonies that at time accept slaves ( on white market) - not a lot, but I seem to remember I've encounter such.
