Need Help Only small compass everytime

Hello to all you nice people.

I've found this community and the mods just recently and downloaded the new Beyond New Horizons. It runs as smooth as the barrel of a good old Brown Bess and it brought back some nice childhood memories already.

However I have one problem with the compass. First some context:

I play the game as Nathaniel Hawk in the original story. I did some of the main quest and got myself a very nice tier 2 ship (thanks to the french). With the money of some of the price ships I bought a masterwork spyglas and an enhanced compass. The spyglas is working as it should be, but the compass remains as small down left as the cheap one. Because I haven't found any similiar thread/ problem in this forum I suspect I did something wrong, though I have no clue what.

I think I should add that I tried saving, closing the game and restarting it, as well as equipping the cheap compass and than the enhanced one again. The compass remained small and in the bottom left corner.

Just having had a look through the game settings (Preferences) there was a setting if you played in Arcade mode you only had a simple compass, or something like that?
