<p>The guys over at <a href="http://www.hookedonpirates.com/" target="_blank">Hooked on Pirates!</a> have not been to busy with launching new sites such as the new <a href="http://www.hookedonstronghold.com/">Hooked on Stronghold</a> they are still pirate softys&nbsp;in the centre and have just got back a Q&amp;A with the esteemed Barry Caudill from Firaxis.&nbsp; Its not huge but for the folks still looking for the patch to end all patches will want to check it out.&nbsp; Read it all <a href="http://hookedonpirates.com/forwarder.html?http://hookedonpirates.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=36165#36165" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#0000ff">HERE</font></strong></a></p>

Looks like the deley for the patch was also brought on by the publishing change, i quess Atari wasnt interested in funding a patch for a game they won't own
 
true, although what i have heard Firaxis is pretty happy with take2.

Now this is 100% my own opinion i think take 2 will have an expansion for Pirates! but I dont think it will be developed by firaxis.. imho
 
Well, shouldn't an originally Sid Meier game have it's expansion made by SM too? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I suspect Take2 wants to get Civ4 out as soon as possible and most of the manpower will be directed towards that end (even Barry is in that team). Thus, it may be possible that someone else in Take2 consortium will make the expansion if there is one.

Still, I think the patch comes first and I'd expect news about it in a month or so (my expectation, which is completely unfounded and based solely on my guestimates)

Think again, that Multiplayer sounds quite strange.

Not 4 people playing at their own homes on a combined game.

4 people playing on 1 game, at 1 house. (Again, very strange, could be very confused on this issue.)

It has been confirmed that there will be no Internet play!
