Problems installing potC

I have uninstalled the game and tryed to install it again but it gets stuck at 49% and an error message pops up sayin:
component transfer error
Component: Main files
File group: App executables
File: E:/Data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

As you can see im no computer expert any help would be much appreciated <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Sounds to me as if something is wrong with your CD. Please check if there are any scratches. You can also try cleaning the CD.

Sometimes as a last ditch method RusT, I recommend using 99% IsoPropyl Alcohol and a soft cloth or "good" soft paper towel or toilet tissue, and gently wash the back of your cd's......some times it is "oils" from hands and stuff and dirt from dust, or lords knows where else, and can be removed this way.....there is 75% Isopropyl that will work, but the higher the better.....it evaporates faster and leaves less film.....
