I got an idea the other day when viewing models in the gm viewer.
It might be possible with real time sailing from island to island, but i dont think it would work with the main quest.
When you sail around an island in seamode (not world map), that island is one 3d model with scripted locations for mooring right ?
i have looked at all these islands in the gm viewer and got an idea. I dont have maya 4,5 but if someone has it, could it be possible to load up one of these island models then merge with another island model say redmond and oxbay then put some space between them then save. Do you follow me, it would still be only one island model with two islands.
Then we would need to script new mooring positions. That way you could technically sail from redmond to oxbay , select moor and end up at regular oxbay port.
Im not sure we can do real time `day-night` cycles though but it could be a start.
Anyway just an idea, hope im making sense. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
