Sea Dogs problem

I'm having a problem with Sea Dogs, it doesnt allow me to change my difficulty and under that same `sub-section`, I cant enable `Auto-Saves`, what can I do to let me change that stuff?

Right now, i'm being forced to play Hard and it's pretty tough.
