I am truly upset - two different computers and Pirates is broken, in two different way, one both.
Machine #1
W98, more than meets the minimum standards: Pirates does not recognize that disk #2 in available.
Machine #2
WXP, laptop, more than meets the minimum standards: Machine crashes. (First time I played, ran for half an hour and crashed. Second time I played. crashed after 5 mins. Third and subsequent times it crashes each time I try to do anything.
Both installs were patched - the patch indicated sucess even though the progress window indicated failure. Both machines are up to date with drivers, etc.
