Widescreen No native Support workaround.

I was bummed when I found out that the game did not support my 23" monitor. And it looked horrid in any other res.

So I looked around trying to find a config file. Not in the usual Places for a Supported VISTA game. So I looked in program files under the default Install Directory where game installed.

Found the folder and a file named engine.ini opened it up with notepad and found the line for the Resolution for the game. Changed it to 1920*1040 (my monitor res) and started the game up.

And low and behold I had 1920*1040. WOW! Looks much better now.

Little note. Since the game installs everything too the program files. I had to enable Adminstrator Rights for the game to even save!! And I had to copy the engine.ini file out of program files and into another folder outside of Program files and edit the file thier. Then copy it back to the Game Directory in Program files.

I can imagine that this game will annoy alot of vista users since it saves the game to the program files. Which is a protected directory.. The only way to allow the game to save is to launch it with Adminstrator rights first time. After that you should be all set.

So actually I have two tips in this thread. Good Luck. Now I just have to figure out how to play.

This does work, but a) it distorts the interface and b) it runs in 'widescreen' by simply cropping off the top and bottom, so your field of view is actually more limited than when you run it in 4:3 ratio.
Also, I belive you can set the install directory to whatever you want.
