Solved Assassins creed 4 , jackdaw the only ship you can sail ?

Ahoy all i have had some trouble finding an answer to this on google and i was hoping somebody here might have played the creed 4.

Is the jackdaw the only ship you can sail ? as in that's the ship you get and that's it you cant captain any different ship should you desire type thing.

Pretty sure that is indeed the case. You can upgrade her, but not get another ship.
Supposedly you can put other ships in your fleet, but I never played the game so I'm only going by hearsay.

Yep, Jackdaw is the only ship you can sail. There are a couple of points in the story where you can briefly sail a different ship, but that's about it.

Ships you 'capture' can be sent to Kenway's Fleet, but it's not what you'd expect. It's just a trading 'mini-game', if you like, where you can send ships to trade cargo in exchange for unlockable items for Kenway and the Jackdaw. They do this in the background on a map of the Atlantic ocean, so you never actually see your captured ships in person.

Just a Follow up here i did end up snagging AC4bf because i have in general with the exception of revelations and 3 enjoyed the series and yeah for an AC game its pretty good the sailing is absurd like a jetski on rails and the battering rams look rely rely silly (and out of period they fell out of use because they were no longer effective against thicker oak hulls and i imagine diden't help their sea keeping) but ive played worse so overall pretty happy.
