    so, i ticked off the smugglers because the governer told me to kill them... 2x now. this also happened to me in my last game. the problem is, the governer sees fit to still charge me with these missions. is there a way not to tick them off? or is there another way to find them other than...

    if your flying the joly roger, then no, u wont be attacked by other pirates, however, ur an open target to all nations. i thought about playing as a pirate too, but in the end decided not to. it doesnt mean i wouldnt play with a bad reputation. ;)

    strange, i usually get the captains as passangers when my ship sinks (but i often savescum to keep the ship anyway)

    building a fleet is actually quite expencive. the question is though, what do u want your fleet to do. as for myself, i generally have just a boat to float around to help carry extra supplies, or loot for me (in case i have trouble getting to town) so, realisticly, i dont need any good stats...

    after 2 hours of trying to figure it out, i finally got an idea. what i did was - sent th file to documents - edited it there, and right clicked, copy, and pasted it (overwrited) back in the orriginal folder. thanks for trying - and maybe u can remember this info for the next person who asks :D

    yeah, only thing i did was follow the directions to the folder, opened the file herodiscribe.txt and changed the 3 to an 18, for more characters. but it says the path or dataname is not right

    well... i have 490 or so, but now its getting harder and harder to get the towns attacked... my stratagy is to sail to 3 different cities, and harrass the governer every day till this attack happens. then i move on to the next city... but this is taking waaaaay too long... is there a better, or...
