3D max help

Do any one use 3D max if so can you help.

I need to make a ship bigger in part of the ship, so as to add more cannon's.

Also how do you copy and paste, a cannon so I can add more to ship.

I used 3DS MAX to creat ships for the sailing simulator Virtual Sailor. I can tell you this: If you have no experience with the program, don't try to modify anything yet. It's a very difficult program, so first try to do simple things to learn the techniques. Try make a box and modify it for a bit. See what the different tools in the toolbar do.
