Crud.

A random string of thoughts... perfect for this.

I ran into a problem with PotC today that has happened to me a few times before... minimizing. When playing PotC, say you get a notification that says your virus scan is complete or john doe just signed into MSN... the game minimizes and its all over. You try to maximize it again ant it gives you that black screen in the top left hand quarter of the screen, there's sound, but no graphics and it doesn't go fullscreen again.

Is there a way to fix that? Sure you can save your game every so often, but its annoying when you're in the midst of an awesome battle and you suddenly lose it all.

In <i>engine.ini</i> set <i>full_screen = 0</i>. You can now Alt+Tab in and out of the game and when it's minimized, you should be able to return as well. If you set the screen resolution high enough, the game will still appear to work in fullscreen mod. Apart from on my Vista laptop, of course. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Ah ok. Thankee Pieter!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

Yes, and setting the games screen resolution to your Desktop resolution makes the transitions between game and Windows almost flawless.
You will be able to "Alt-Tab" back and forth between game and most other programs running in Windows.
