Age of pirates or Captain Blood

I'm playing Potc at the moment but I'm looking for something a bit harder, I've heard about age of pirates and Captain Blood they both sound pretty good but which one? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

If your playing POTC now, AOP is probably the way to go as its an open ended game. Captain Blood follows a scripted story so your playing an interactive novel almost.

AOP will be out sooner aswell <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

AoP is like PotC 2, right? Only PotC is actually Sea Dogs 2, so technically, AoP would be Sea Dogs 3. Anyone still understands this? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Yep, I got it, Pieter...

AoP looks to me like a mix of Age of Sail and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Captain Blood is a console game, and looks like one. The characters are exaggerated and stylized, and I think the game is more linear as it follows the storyline of the books...

I'm thinking that Captain Blood will be a real "shoot-em-up" kind of game, while AoP will be more strategy/puzzle based... I hope... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

As a friend of AOS and MP, i hope Catalina is right with AOP....

So definitly AOP <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Believe me - AOP's MP will have nothing in common with AOS-PB. Which, in my mind, blows big time, but I suppose others might find it fun....Just make sure you don't know a thing about naval combat, and you'll be OK....

Oh, yeah, if they keep the "making a 360 turn while having all sails completely reefed" feature then I suppose it will have something in common with AOS...

Anyway, I never wrote it, you never read it -- too much rum ain't good for me <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

AOP or Captain Blood? I begin to think the answer is -- POTBS. It seems to have the least amount of Akella in it.

AoP of course. I think it's save to say it's open ended and i prefer to write my own 'stories'. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

AOTBS wouldn't be bad if i`d have enough sparetime for a MMORPG and i hate to pay monthly fees. (while we're at it, i hate to pay for anything! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" /> )

Argh argh - what to do till Xmas ? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />
