Well, it's less interesting than what the title suggested.
In countinuation to my first post, I found out about the cutscenes.
I found the cutscenes directory in RESOURCE but I think that somewhere there is a value set to "false" concerning the cutscene usage.

Does anybody know about anything like that?

Maybe you don't have the codecs required to play the videos.
Download a good codec pack, and download the latest Windows Media codecs.
Then, edit engine.ini and set tracefilesoff to 0.
Then play the game. Then check your system.log and compile.log for any mentions of videos.
