I have been playing solid now for two days and haven't had a crash yet (touch wood).

I hope it stays that way because before I got it I was worried if it would be playable at all.

So far so good.

Just thought that I'd share that it seems sometimes it does work as it should.

Lucky indeed, I've had the game since the 20th and today was the first time I had it crash. Meanwhile some people have had over 5 crashes in just one day.
 
somtimes it depends on actions you do somtimes i saw that the game crashed few times in the row becouse some actions so when i did it otherwise it hasnt crashed and now i know after what actions it may crash so i save before doing it
 
Auto saves at sea, crashes soon after, I stopped using them and it helps <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
Nope, no cracks or mods or anything like that.

I do however stop some processes in Task Manager including rundll23.exe

Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I have a Dell XPS 600 SLI.

The craches only start when you have the 2nd peace of the map...

I didn't have any craches be4 I got that 2nd peace :/

I don't know......

With titan quest..when I removd starforce, and fought against it, it kept crashing....
but then when I finally succumbed to it and actually uninstalled Daemon tools, and made a fresh install + starforce and used the titan quest DVD...it never ever crashed again and ran smooth as silk.....

Same story with Darkstar One. It's as if Starforce was designed to make the game run unstable if you fight against it for some reason.

THere is always *one* aspect or another of the game that goes wrong if you screw with starforce.

Then again it could be RunDLL24.thingamabobbih4xx0rzprog4mm ; anyone test it yet?

And i dont think it's the 2nd part of the map thing cuz i started a fresh game and it crashed....ran smoother... wasn't as laggy. but after 2 hours, it crashed.

5 in a day? Wow.. I would love that. I can get 5 or more in 10 minutes.

Really makes no sense, I can go a half hour to an hour without a crash, but then at other times it is like unplayable.
 
My video card may not be good enough.. might be a reason? I got everything turned down and it still lags a little. Also cracked and playing with mods.. but it did act the same before I did any modding.
