ATI Radeon 9200 users, please help!

Hi everyone!

Have anyone of you ATI Radeon owners was able to run this game without the "Starcrap bringing, messing entire PC 1.42 patch"?

Maybe some of you were able to run it with SUPER MOD but with the 1.41 version of the game? So far I've tried the MOD without any success.

If you have any ideas on how to run it (before the 1.42 no-dvd appears, if ever) please share your knowledge.

It is not worth the trouble!!!!!!!! It's not solving anything!!!
If your using 1.41 with the NOCD crack, it will work! Even better if you use the Supermod 1.1!
I use the ATI Radeon 9600 with 128mb, no problem.......except the crashing of the game,
but that is the game........Guilty as charged!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

I'm using a Radeon X1600 Pro 512mb card and 6.9 drivers, and the game runs fine with v1.41. Maybe that 512mb of video memory helps..
 
Well Nosie, unfortunately it's not as easy as it looks.
First of all, you guys have more advanced graphic cards. ATI Radeon 9600 is not new but it's still suported by the newest catalyst drivers. Radeon X1600 is one of the best in radeon family so there's no camparison to my old 9200 which is not anymore supported by new drivers. The patch 1.42 solves the trouble with common engine.exe problem (which causes the crash at the very start of the game) brouth up by users of ATI Radeon 8500, 9000, 9200, 9250.
So for us, it's either patch 1.42 or no playing at all. That's why I'm looking for advise of ATI 9200 users coz maybe someone was able to run the game with the SUPER MOD or clean install without using the crappy patch.

Seriously though, Bonzo my friend, you really should think about upgrading your video card. The 9200 is stone age tech nowadays. The mid-range Radeon cards are very reasonable now. Even my X1600 has come down in price quite a bit from what I paid. And it's an AGP card, which you don't see much of in higher end cards any more...
 
Yeah, you're probably right Capn Tucker. My video card cost me so much trouble lately that I should really consider upgrading it as a priority. However I'm afraid RELOADED will release their 1.42 crack sooner than I decide to move my lazy ass and replace the card. So I'll end up being able to play the game and still bitching about the damn card. Now, isn't it an optimistic prospect ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
