Big problem at basically the end of the game

I'm running Build 11.99.

I'm in the Temple, I've made it through the maze and past the alcove and I'm in the main room to get the idol or whatever that I need to beat the Black Pearl. Nothing happens though. I read in the walkthrough that the old man from the lighthouse is supposed to start looking for a trap, and then everything goes into place automatically. But for me, nothing is happening. I'm just standing there looking at the stupid thing. I've tried to push 'I" to reinitialize, but that doesn't work. Anybody else run into this problem?

Thank ye kindly Fred Bob. This is my third time through the game, and the first time with the build. The first time I made it through fine, and the 2nd time the same thing happened that is happening now. Hopefully a previous save will fix the problem. I'm just trying to get through the game so that I can advance through the English ranks, marry me a govenor's daughter, wench some questionable ladies at the brothel, and sack some Frenchies.

To everyone that has worked on The Build, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have taken an average game with the potential to be great, and made it just that.
