Black Screen

This is my first post, so Hello everybody
I ahve problem with my POTC ( vanilla )
When i trying to run game, i have always black screens and i always must restart my computer . When i had this game at last Windows. everything was ok.
Now i have again Windows SP3, and now, i dont know what is going on.
My computer:
Intel Pentium 4 3,2 HT.
Radeon HD4670 1GB AGP
2,5 gb of ram memory
Motherboard HP d330

edit: did you modify anything?

my line 154 in sea.c looks like this

LanguageCloseFile(iSeaSectionLang); iSeaSectionLang = -1;

and other instances of LanguageCloseFile are commented out

No its vanilla. I can't run it after instalation.

That error message on installing the unmodified game is just plain bizarre; it suggests there's something wrong with the code altogether.
But how can that be if you made no edits of it?

You could try to install Build 14 Beta 2 on top; that replaces every single code file and might sort out this problem. Maybe.

I take you have a legal copy of POTC and didn't *cough*oad it from internet? That would explain why code may be corrupted.

My POTC is copy of original disc. I had bought game 3-4 years ago, so i had to make copy.
Now i have only copy, original is broken.

This is plain strange

. I have no idea why it's acting like that.

Probably the best thing would be to reinstall the whole thing maybe even try install it in different location

Now i know one, its not POTC problem, i think its my graphic.
I was downloaded this what you send me Pieter.
And i have again black screens, i hear disney logo sound for a moment,
and that is all.

yeah and then it crashes and says that the engine has stopped responding and that there is a problem with sea.dll
