Booms and Yardarm turning

Ahoy mates!

Just a little mod ta get me back in the fold.

I was not happy with the degree of response the Booms and Yardarm had to the wind, so a little digging brings this wee mod.

edit resource\ini\rigging.ini and find the entry MAXTURNANGL= 0.6 and change it to 0.9, Bobs yer uncle, Fanny's yer aunt, ye got 90 degree response ta wind!

I was hoping ta be able ta fix the yardarm independantly as it turns into the wind <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Ah well. A few things I be hoping ta bring up soon. I be workin on shipboard sounds. Jest have ta tweak the alises a bit more and we have water an sundry!

A bilge full of cudos to the lads what made this damned fine patch! Game be not playable without it, hats off!!

Oh! I also be turnin them gobeldeygook speakin files inta good ol english translations the cap'n 'd be proud of.

P.S. I'd be a might grateful if someone would point me in the right direction of altering 1st person cam height on deck, and setting max class back to settlement relation again. Cheers!
 
Okay, for the camera height, there is actually another thread floating around here or in the general area. Can't remember the exact name, gimme a sec here....


Well damn, I can't seem to find the post. But it was Phaser or Thomas that made the posting. You just need to edit some settings in camera.ini to move the deck camera up higher.


As to setting the settlements to sell only what it should be allowed to, that would need to be explained by Cyberops about what he did. I've been kind of wanting to set that back myself.

Hope this info helps at least a bit.

Aye, I recall setting cam height in Sea_ai\AICameras.c and ini\camera.ini fer POTC, but tryin h_step and h_max don't seem ta work <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> . I will tinker about an see what I can mess up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" /> .
I will also take a gander fer that post ye mentioned although I have searched high and low fer anythin on it in various and sundry forums. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

By an By, fer anyone interested setting SeaDeckCamera.SensivityDistance = 0.003; in AIcameras.c moves ye at a nice saunter aboard ship.

Ah well. Hope Cyberops be awake soon.
