Okay I have looked all over, were can I find "Build 11"? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I would recommend getting the Standard install and the Updates (as there are a couple of bugfixes) and then if you have got the time download the Extra Textures.

The best way to use this is in a clean installation of POTC, and then install any other mods that you want afterwards.

I loaded Build 11 and all my save games now have no ship and I have no items or equipment...is this ment to happin? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/type_1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":nk" border="0" alt="type_1.gif" />
 
Sadly yes. The build makes such radical changes that you must start a new game.
However, you can change how you start out--how much money, what ship, what level character...

Did you know that you can also play a female Captain?

I have done it many times.

In the charactors_init file
found at INSTALLDIRProgramCharacterscharacters_init.c
open the file with notepad:
search for "hawk" and you're in the right line.

just change:
ch.name to "any first name"
ch.lastname "any last name"
ch.model to "Danielle"
ch.sex to "woman"
leave the ch.id = "Blaze" the way it is, if not the quests will not play.

Start a NEW game - as you can not alter the saved game or character.
