Hi there,

Thank you for an exellent excuse to pick up PotC once again, now with more content, exciting new stuff etc...very well done! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

However, I have discovered a few bugs with Build 13 Full, very frustrating ones:

When I plant a forrest and want to harvest, the workers sometimes uprises - the dialog screen after the worker is shouting can not be finished - I cant press space and the dialog goes away, it just stayes there and I have to load the game.

The french fort, St. Luis, cannot be attacked from the sea, as half of the fort is buried in the cliffs of St. Martin. But the fort can attack me..

Also, both my ships and the New Amsterdam fort in the Philipsburg harbour want to attack the cliffsides for some reason, whenever a french ship is near..?
It seems there is some sort of "lighthole" in the cliffs near the water, could this be a "hole" in the cliffs the ships are trying to aim for?


There is an amount of smaller bugs, but nothing that halts the game.

Sometimes forts and ships will try to shoot at objects that are behind land. That is because the cannon range was increased. There is no way of telling them that there is land apparently. The computer isn't that smart. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Did you install Build 13 Update 3 on top of Build 13? If not, I recommend you do so and start a new game. It fixes some issues, though I don't think it fixes the particular issues you mention.

I get this problem as well, and it seems to pop up randomly. I'll get a dialog box with an <INVALID TEXT> in the message area, then the game won't accept commands from the keyboard, so the only way out is ctrl-alt-del.

I'm also getting stuck in the rocks and other structures in the game where I can't move. The A - D slide keys works sometimes but not always. The only way out of this is to reload game
 
Could you please tell me the circumstances of when that happens?

Which? Both the dialog bug and the collision are random.

Currently I'm running B14A6, and starting always with the "shipwreck" scenario.

The game keeps spawning me and my ship on separate islands. A few times the Quest log said I ended up on Osway, but the first town I hit is Redmond and no ship..anywhere.

I didn't see this in B13, but that patch crashes too much. B14A6 doesn't seem to crash as much.

I think the dialog thing might have to do with the "Sail Ho" encounter. I think I'm getting those random dialog messages in town and it locks the game.

has changed,lol! ...And hallo Pieter! Good to see you back again trying to sort things and put the Pirates in order! I've not played the game for about 6 month now, but will once 14/7 ,8 gets sorted! I still have 14/6 on my computer with all the bugs but would not touch 14/7 with a barge pole! So keep it up and looking forward to a stable 14/8 or what ever else you gonna call it! Cheers
 
I have no idea when Alpha 8 will be released, Pirate_KK is working on that, but I will try to make a Build 14 Alpha 7 Plus version including most new mods and hopefully working better than Alpha 7. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
