Hello all,

We intended to release Build 13 this weekend, which would be about now. Several of the most important gamekilling issues in Beta 3 have been tackled, but there are some non-gamekilling bugs left. So should or shouldn't we release Build 13 right now? Please give your views on this as soon as you possibly can! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

As a creator of most annoying bugs in recent time I'd vote to release Build 13 now and don't add any of my code to Build 13.1.

Now THERE's a bad idea! I AM adding your code into Build 13.1. I tested your new code myself and, apart from one black screen, it does work well. Anyway: For the release of Build 13.1 we would first do some testing on the mods that will be included and fix the bugs we'd find. So if there are any bugs in there, we'll be fixing them.

Don't worry about causing bugs. You aren't the first to do so nor will you be the last one. Many of the best coders for PotC have occasionally added bugs. That includes me, Hook, IncredibleHat, Nathan Kell, Maximus and basically any other coders. I think that it is just plain impossible to do everything 100% perfect at first try. But as long as the bugs are found and fixed, there is no harm done.

I want to thank you for all the work you have done, Pirate_KK. I know that many, many people truly appreciate your work. I don't even want to imagine Build 13 without any of your additions. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

I voted we should delay the release (maximum one week). Otherwise, can you post, Pieter, a list of the build 13.1 's new features ?

I think it's clear where this poll is going. The release will be delayed then. Hopefully we'll be able to make a proper release next weekend then.

Please note that the coming week I will be having exams and I will need to do some work for those. I will also need to finish a project for which I have, so far, not done much, which means I'll be pretty busy.

I'd add the same comments as Pieters about making bugs pirate_kk - this is normal in any project, so dont feel bad about it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I voted to wait for more bug fixing - i probably am more patient about this as i've only come back here fairly recently and most of you have been working really hard(and doing great stuff) to get build13 done and complete.

We have recently identified some quite major bugs - sadly i have to report that the fix for doubled characters might not be working yet!(i'll put it also in the other main thread for the beta3 test) - I came across lots of double spawned characters recently while in the cave section behind Oxbay, due to my saving -reloading.

Anyway i just feel it needs a little more playtesting and hopefuly then we will be good for a most excellent update. So if there is a delay in doing a full build13 release i suspect it would only be a really small one(a week or two?).

By my opinion, first, the bug in the main storyline should be removed so as the game could be playable to the end. Until the bug about impossibility of capturing Greenfort isn´t removed, for me, the issue of Build 13 or next one is groundless. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I voted for delay the release till more bugs r fixed . We all understand that alot of effort been made by some modder's to get this build out and playable , however , it is still have some bugs that need to be fixed so IMO no point releasing the build with known bugs r still there , it will ruin someone game while playing so better wait for hopefully a clean/non bugged release ..

Definitely wait until the bugs are squashed. Especially that one RAD mentioned that prevents completing the main quest? (If there really is such a bug)

Hi, Captain Tucker. If you want, please, have a look at my post on the previous page 2 - "Maybe cardinal bug?! - please help me." <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

yep you cant anchor in greenford during the escort Albion part of the quest - i'll put as much detail as possible in the beta3 bug thread.

Hey everyone, I've been really busy in real life and haven't had a chance to do any playtesting lately. I did notice that some of the most troubling bugs have been taken care of. Hurrah for the modders! What bugs are now the main obstacles to the release of the Build? If they are very minor ones, I vote to release the build and begin work on 13.1. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
